Vintage Leather Trench Coat Dark Blue 8/10

An incredible genuine vintage leather trench coat by R.W. Clayton, Melbourne & London — beautifully made in genuine suede leather and with all the character you want from a true vintage piece.

The colour is particularly good — a deep, dark blue with a slightly smoky/slate tone, rather than a standard black. It has developed a gorgeous worn-in patina over the years that only adds to its character.

The detailing is exceptional: a fitted waist, long flared silhouette, statement collar, leather-covered buttons and beautiful vertical panel detailing through the front and back bodice. Finished with discreet front pockets and a rich blue lining.

The label and styling suggest circa 1970s, although I can't confidently date it to an exact year.

This one has been worn in all the right ways. There is natural sutle wear to the leather, particularly around the edges of the shoulders, cuffs and hem, along with the beautiful variation and creasing expected from a genuine vintage leather coat. This isn't a pristine modern-looking piece — its patina is part of what makes it so bloody good.

Tagged size 12, however it is a smaller vintage fit and I would recommend it for a modern 8–10, depending on desired fit.
